Cat Fish Pond

Today we i.e Tony raced at the Cat Fish Pond. I couldn't be more proud of him! He has battled sickness all week, even missing two days of work. Yet he decided to race today. He placed 8th overall out of around 350 racers. Not bad, not bad. He had a purposefully slow start off the line, but it proved to be a good decision. While the men are out racing 40 miles to prove their manhood, us wives run around the woods like lost puppies trying to see how many times throughout the course we can see them. Ha ha. I think I'm more tired than Tony! Well, congrats Babe, I am so proud of you! Now get your rest!

Soccer

Well I must say, it's not like riding a bike. Aly plays U11 PYSL soccer. I cheer for her on the sidelines. Until now. I am her new coach. We had our second practice tonight and I love it! It's only been 10 years since I last played, but the kids don't care. We have so much fun! I got myself one of the cutest pink soccer balls you have ever seen. :) too bad they don't have pink cleats!

Catch Up!

These last few months have been so crazy!!! I have got to upload a ton of pictures. It seems like the girls are like flowers, a little summer sun and they grow! They are so excited about school starting. I'm not sure if it is the friends they miss, or the homework! Hmmm, let me think about that! Pictures and updates are coming!

Fishing Fun!

This weekend was so much fun! We went to a birthday party at Druid Lanes for one of Macy's friends. Happy 6th, Ian! Then we headed to Wes and Tiffany's house for a cookout and some fishing! Thank you Tif for making my favorite mac and cheese again! We got our bellies full and headed to their pond. Way to walk of those calories! On Wes' second cast he caught an 8 lb bass! Tony just about caught jaws himself! haha! It was pretty big, until it got lose. I'm sorry hunny! I managed to throw my rod in the pond! and only catch two small blue gills! Aly was the best fisherman of all! She caught 2 2lb bass! She absolutely loved fishing....until it was time to touch the fish. :) Macy on the other hand is another story. Her and Taylor played in the sand and water, caught frogs, and ate hot dogs! Here are a few pics, the one of Taylor and Macy eating a hot dog sounded like this. Taylor: "Macy, we are friends, right?" Macy: "sure!" a woman of few words. They were like 2 peas in a pod. We had a blast, can't wait to do it again!

Aly's Science Project Update.....

NO MOLD!!!! Can you believe that? Oh well, maybe it was because the bread was too fresh. My question is this...why, when I put bread in the cabinet, two days later it molds? And when we make all the conditions right for mold, we wait, and wait, and nothing? God just wanted a good laugh, I guess! :) Kudo's to Aly's mom, Tennille, on the board! Awesome! Aly's 3rd grade science project rivaled any 5th grader's at the Science fair! I love you, Aly. I am soooo proud of you!

Quiet around here, well maybe....

When the girl's aren't here, the house is so quiet, well that is besides the three dogs. Today was a day that I welcomed to silence. Whew, what a day! I came home for lunch, just like I do everyday only to find I was locked out of the house! I know what you're thinking..."why don't you have a house key?" Well in all honesty, I have several. But....I always come in through the garage, so I never need it. (that was the door that was locked) :) Well, after calling my WONDERFUL husband, he decided to come home from work 3 hours early to let me in. Awe, how sweet. My knight in shining armour to rescue the damsel in distress! Well, later on, I'm cooking supper...I have one of those ovens with the knob. You know what I'm talking about. Evidently, I "bumped" into the knob, unknowingly and began to cook my chicken on 500 degrees!!! Well, I finally realized and put the oven on 250 thinking that would cancel it out. :) Can I do that? Needless to say, Tony's chicken was a little tough! I smothered it with sauce and rice and veggies hoping he wouldn't notice....but he did. :( Oh well! I fixed my plate next and while I was walking to get a fork out of the drawer.......down went the plate. LiLi and Sadie went CRAZY!!! I didn't even think I would have to mop the floor by the time they were done. :) Let's just hope the rest of the evening is a little less eventful! I'm going to bed early!
